Historical revolution in the nation has made the people sovereign .It has also brought about a prototype for the security personnel, that they must be answerable to the citizen. Armed Police force is crucial component of internal security mechanisms. The deeds demonstrated by the personnel whether on an individual or organizational capacity eventually would have an echo of the values and norms of the organization so, every personnel should be guided by certain principles in our worlds' rule of engagement'. The commitment of the Police Force in the field of protection and promotion of human Rights is always be asset to its personnel in their line of duty. Nepal is a signatory to many international obligations related to the protection of human rights. APF, therefore ,has legal and binding obligations to respect and uphold the human rights and International Humanitarian Laws. Equally the APF being a part of the Nepalese society has moral obligations to abide by the human rights. The APF HQ has a clear and unambiguous policy of strictly adhering to the norms and principles of human rights. The APF is committed to deliver due justice if violation of such rights occur. It is expected that due cooperation from various sectors of society and human rights groups will be received by the APF to achieve the noble objective of protecting the fundamental rights of the Nepalese people. In order to institulized human values and norms in the entire organization and its personnel, the Human Rights cell was formally established on 2059-9-29.Since its inception, constant efforts have been put to uphold the human pride and dignity. The cell has been provide a milestone in transforming the theoretical commitment into practical endeavors in the conduit of Human Rights Promotion and protection.
