Armed Police Force established with motto of peace, security and commitment devoted to the service of the nation  subject to mobilization in accordance with the mandated tasks is a dynamic organization with multi facet jobs resembling to that of military and police.

With a view of effective professional performance the need for female role was felt considerably  inevitable resulting in recruitment of women police in APF. The first intake of women personnel was since 2003 with two junior non commissioned officers. 

To date the organization boasts with around 321 women police of various ranks covering wings of medical, band, cultural group, sports and the infantry.
